Daniel C. Orey Equity Scholarship
A Scholarship for Students at California State University, Sacramento
One scholarship shall be awarded annually, at a desired minimum annual level of $500, depending on availability of funds. In the event that the minimum award amount is not available in a given year, the Department of Financial Aid and Scholarship may issue a partial award. If funds become available, the Department of Financial Aid and Scholarship may issue multiple awards, or make a single award at, or near, 10% of tuition.
Criteria. Students eligibility for the Daniel C. Orey Equity Scholarship shall include:
All majors are eligible.
Eligible class levels: Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior.
Minimum GPA: 2.5
Full-time enrollment required.
Student will submit an essay of no more than 1 page, single spaced responding to the following questions:
How have Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) issues such as bullying, marriage rights, and civil rights affected your academic success or career aspirations?
